This policy explains how Wolf Rock Tech Limited uses personal information collected through wolfrocktech.ai, including the contact form, our email correspondence, and the research questionnaires we run through Wolf Rock Tech Labs. It applies UK data protection law, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we are
Wolf Rock Tech Limited, registered in England and Wales, is the controller of the personal information described here. Contact: info@wolfrocktech.ai.
What we collect
- Contact form submissions and emails: name, work email, organisation (optional), and the message you send us.
- Research questionnaire responses, where you choose to take part in a Wolf Rock Tech Labs research project.
- For people we contact about our research: your name, business name, business email address and the fact that we contacted you. See Research outreach.
We do not ask for bank details, passwords or other sensitive financial information through these forms.
How we use it and our lawful basis
We use contact form submissions and emails to respond to your enquiry. We use research responses to understand the problems businesses experience and to guide our product research and development decisions.
Our lawful basis for both is legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)): running a consultancy and researching a possible product, using a small amount of business information in ways you would reasonably expect. If you become a client, we also process information to perform our contract with you.
How long we keep it
We keep contact form submissions, email correspondence and research responses for 12 months from our last contact with you, then delete them. If you ask us to stop contacting you, we keep only your email address on a suppression list, so that we do not contact you again. Records we must keep for contract or tax purposes are kept for as long as the law requires.
Who handles it for us
We do not sell your information or share it for marketing. We use these providers to run the site and our email:
- Netlify hosts this website and processes contact form submissions, which are delivered to us by email.
- Google Workspace provides our email and storage.
These providers may process information outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, we rely on the safeguards that apply under UK law to such transfers, such as the UK–US data bridge or standard contractual clauses.
Cookies and tracking
This site does not set cookies, does not use local storage to track you, and does not use analytics or advertising tools, so there is no cookie banner. It also loads its fonts and images from this site rather than from third-party servers, so visiting it does not send your address to a font or image provider. If this changes, we will update this policy before it does.
Some links on this site lead to demonstrators hosted by other providers, such as Vercel. Those sites have their own terms, and our demonstrators use fictional or synthetic data.
Research outreach
For our Wolf Rock Tech Labs research we sometimes email small businesses that have not contacted us first. We use business contact details from publicly available sources, such as a business’s own website or a business directory, and we contact only a small number of businesses.
- Why we are writing: to ask a few short questions about how businesses understand the profitability of their work. We are not selling anything.
- Lawful basis: legitimate interests, as above.
- Taking part is optional. Reply “stop” to any of our emails, or write to info@wolfrocktech.ai, and we will not contact you again. Responses are used for research and are not shared outside Wolf Rock Tech in a way that identifies you or your business.
Your rights
You have the right to ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. To use any of these rights, contact info@wolfrocktech.ai and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time as our services change. The date above reflects the last update.
